Christiane is a bilingual German and English speaking Speech & Language Therapist with over 20 years extensive experience in working with children, teenagers and adults with speech, language, communication, voice and swallowing disorders. She graduated from the University of Hanover, Germany in 1996. After gaining clinical experience with German and English speaking clients in Hanover, Christiane opened her first Speech & Language Clinic in St. John's Wood, London in 2002.
In May 2016, Christiane joined the team at Toothbeary Practice in Richmond, London, where she provides specialist advice, assessment and treatment for Myofunctional Disorders.
In June 2017, Christiane was voted on the committee and became the first Communication Officer for the National Clinical Excellence Network for Fluency Disorders. She is responsible for running the Twitter @fluencyCEN and Instagram @natfluencycen accounts and is currently developing a new website and Facebook page for this network of specialists in stammering.
In addition to her private work, Christiane has worked as a Locum Speech & Language Therapist at the George Tancret Centre, a unit for children on the autistic spectrum at St. James Primary School, Twickenham; at the Child Development Centre, St. Ann's Hospital, Haringey and worked in the early years and mainstream team at Basingstoke Hospital and Aldershot Centre for Health, Hampshire.
She is a certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP) and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Christiane is a recognised Speech & Language Therapy provider with many private health insurance companies. She has a keen interest in interdisciplinary work and has established excellent liaison relationships with doctors, therapists and schools, offering recommendations and support as well as guidance to school teachers and SENCOs.
